R3lay is a standalone communication platform with its own account management, built around the feature set of established voice chat services: fixed voice channels and text channels with replies, reactions, mentions and file transfers of up to 2 GB.
Audio, video and screen sharing are end-to-end encrypted; the server only relays the connections. External helper servers for connection setup are disabled, so participants’ IP addresses are not passed on to third parties.
A radio bot joins voice channels as a participant of its own and plays internet radio or tracks from the music library. Each participant sets its volume individually.
Accounts are created by administrators only, and two-factor sign-in is available.
